2002 Honda Civic HX with Side Airbags

The 2002 Honda Civic HX with Side Airbags (HX SA) is an HX with side airbags, an optional feature in the trim for that particular model year.

Engines, Transmissions and Fuel Economy:

All 2002 Civic HX SAs come with a 1.7-litre 117-horsepower inline 4-cylinder engine, with has two more horses than the base DX model. A 5-speed manual overdrive transmission is standard in the EXs, although there was an option to get one with a 4-speed automatic. Fuel economy is 36 mpg (miles per gallon) for the city and 44 mpg for the highway.

Safety Features:

All 2002 Civic HX SAs have power door locks; vehicle anti-theft systems; trunk anti-trap devices; and driver, passenger, and front side airbags. Some HX SAs might have keyless entry systems. However, like the DX versions, it lacks power windows.

Interior Features:

Cruise control, tachometer, tilt steering wheel with mounted controls, second-row folding seat, and stereo system with AM/FM radios and cassette decks are standard in the 2002 Civic HX SAs. Although it is easy to find many 2002 HX SAs with air condition units and CD players, those two mentioned features were optional.

Exterior Features:

The 2002 Civic HX SA only comes as a two-door coupe, with 14-inch tires fitted on alloy wheels. Interval wipers and rear window defoggers are standard in 2002 HX SAs. Some can be spotted with fog lights, mud guards and/or rear spoilers.

Colors:

Color Green Pearl, Nighthawk Black Pearl, Rallye Red, Satin Silver Metallic and Taffeta White are the five exterior colors available for all 2002 Honda Civics. The green and white cars have beige cloth interiors, while the black, red and silver ones come with black cloth interiors.
