2002 Honda Civic LX with Side Airbags

The 2002 Honda Civic LX with Side Airbags (LX SA) is the "luxury" edition of the Honda Civic adorned with side airbags, an optional feature for Civics in the 2002 model year.

Engines, Transmissions and Fuel Economy:

All 2002 Civic LX SAs come with a 1.7-litre 115-horsepower inline 4-cylinder engine, with places it next to the DX trim and below the others. A 5-speed manual overdrive transmission – providing a fuel economy of 33/39 mpg - is standard in the LX SAs, although there was an option to get one with a 4-speed automatic (30/38 mpg).

Safety Features:

All 2002 Civic LX SAs have power door locks; power windows; ABS brakes; vehicle anti-theft systems; trunk anti-trap devices; and driver, passenger and front side airbags. The sedan version has additional child safety door locks, and some LX SAs might have keyless entry systems.

Interior Features:

Air conditioning, tachometers, cruise control, tilt steering wheels with mounted controls, second-row folding seats, and stereo systems consisting of AM/FM radios and cassette decks are standard in the LX trims of the 2002 Civic. Optional features included CD players/changers and leather steering wheels.

Exterior Features:

The 2002 Honda Civic LX SAs are either two-door coupes or four-door sedans with 14-inch tires fitted on steel wheels, although getting alloy wheels was an option. Interval wipers, power adjustable side mirrors, and rear window defoggers are standard in 2002 LX SAs; with some equipped with fog lights, mud guards and/or rear spoilers.

Colors:

Color Green Pearl, Nighthawk Black Pearl, Rallye Red, Satin Silver Metallic and Taffeta White are the five exterior colors available for all 2002 Honda Civics. The green and white cars have beige cloth interiors, while the black, red and silver ones come with black cloth interiors.
