The BMW 3-series is a special mix of sporting performance, practicality and European luxury in a compact package. It's the car that defines 'sport sedan,' and the benchmark every luxury carmaker uses.

The 330i sedan has a more powerful version of the 325i's 3.0-liter six, producing 255 horsepower, or an increase of 30 from 2005. The 330Ci coupe; and 330Ci convertible have a 225-horsepower 3.0-liter engine that's different from the newer one in the sedans. Like the 330i sedan, these models get a similar upgrade in standard equipment compared to the 325s. Safety features that come standard include dual stage front-impact airbags, front side-impact airbags and full-cabin head protection airbags. Active safety features on all 3 Series models include Dynamic Stability Control anti-skid electronics and the latest generation antilock brakes.

For 2006, the BMW 3-series has been redesigned.

Buying a 2006 BMW 330

Purchasing an older vehicle, such as the 2006 BMW 330, makes good financial sense. You're able to avoid the steep depreciation rates that occur with brand new vehicles. This essentially gives you the advantage of getting a 2006 BMW 330 for less money than when it was new. If the 2006 BMW 330 was properly maintained, you also have a good chance of steering clear of problems that would have developed when the car was new.

The amount you pay for an older car depends on various factors. One important element is where you buy the vehicle. You're likely to get a better deal if you buy it from a private party, as opposed to a dealer. On the other hand, a reputable dealer will normally have some kind of limited warranty, so you can drive away knowing that if the car breaks down right away, you'll be covered. Another factor that may affect price on a 2006 BMW 330 is whether it's "certified" by the manufacturer. A certified vehicle will cost more because warranty service is provided that normally doesn't come with a used car.
