Introduction
The vehicle comes equipped with Multi-Displacement System, which shuts down half of the cylinders in the engine during light road conditions so that fuel economy is improved. For handling, it comes equipped with an Electronic Stability Program, which allows for better handling and traction during varying weather conditions. Safety features on all models include advanced multistage dual front airbags and the LATCH child seat anchor system. Also included are side-curtain airbags designed to improve head protection for front- and rear-seat occupants. The engine varies from a 2.7-liter V-6 in the SE version to a 6.1-liter V-8 Hemi in the SR8 and comes available with AutoStick, a clutchless, semiautomatic transmission. For 2006, the Magnum comes with an available backseat DVD entertainment system.
