2007 Honda Civic DX

The 2007 Honda Civic DX is a basic package for this popular small car. The 2007 Civic represents the second year of their "eight generation" design; where a North American sedan or coupe model is built in conjunction with a 5-door model for the European market. With the Civic DX, buyers get the basic package, with fewer features than the LX, EX and other trims.

All 2007 Civic DX, EX and LX models ship with a 1.8-Liter 16-Valve SOHC i-VTEC engine that delivers 140 Horsepower (HP). Honda quotes an estimated 26 miles per gallon in city and 34 mpg in highway driving for the 2007 Civic DX with the standard 5-speed manual transmission.

The 2007 DX and its equivalent in successive model years are sparse in contrast to the LX/EX lines. The specs for the DX on Honda's site do not indicate any standard air conditioning unit, or any standard dash audio option. But frugal Civic buyers who opt for the DX can still get safety features standard on the Honda Civic. From anti-lock brakes to dual-stage dual-threshold front airbags, Civic DX buyers can profit from the best Honda has to offer in safety for the 2007 model year, as well as other items like Daytime Running Lights, Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and an emergency trunk opener. There are also power windows and a few other features standard in the DX for convenience and comfort.
