The HUMMER H3 SUV is a mid-sized, five-passenger sport utility vehicle that carries the military-inspired design cues and amazing off-road capabilities of the HUMMER H1 and H2, but puts them in a smaller, more affordable package.

The H3 draws its power from a 3.5-liter, inline five-cylinder engine that generates 242 horsepower. It comes in two models: standard and H3X, and has the choice of two major option packages: Adventure package and Luxury package. The H3X is an urban styled H3 SUV with chrome exterior enhancements and a customized leather interior. Safety features that come standard with the H3 SUV include antilock brakes, traction control, frontal and side-impact airbags for the driver and front-seat passenger, and a tire-pressure monitoring system.

For 2007, the HUMMER H3 SUV introduces the new H3X trim.

Buying a 2007 Hummer H3 SUV

Purchasing an older vehicle, such as the 2007 Hummer H3 SUV, makes good financial sense. You're able to avoid the steep depreciation rates that occur with brand new vehicles. This essentially gives you the advantage of getting a 2007 Hummer H3 SUV for less money than when it was new. If the 2007 Hummer H3 SUV was properly maintained, you also have a good chance of steering clear of problems that would have developed when the car was new.

The amount you pay for an older car depends on various factors. One important element is where you buy the vehicle. You're likely to get a better deal if you buy it from a private party, as opposed to a dealer. On the other hand, a reputable dealer will normally have some kind of limited warranty, so you can drive away knowing that if the car breaks down right away, you'll be covered. Another factor that may affect price on a 2007 Hummer H3 SUV is whether it's "certified" by the manufacturer. A certified vehicle will cost more because warranty service is provided that normally doesn't come with a used car.
