Mazda Mazda6 Overview

The Mazda6 is available in either sedan or hatchback, each offering a choice of 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine or a 3.0-liter V-6 engine. The former generates 156 horsepower while the V-6 gets 212 horsepower, each engine teams to a five-speed manual transmission; or a five-speed automatic for the four-cylinder and a six-speed automatic for the V-6. Antilock brakes, side-impact airbags and side-curtain airbags are standard.

For 2008, the Mazda6 loses both its wagon and high-performance Mazdaspeed6 version, but gains a tire pressure monitoring system.
