The Milan comes in two versions, either a front-wheel drive, or an all-wheel drive system offered in regular or Premier trims. The standard front-wheel drive powertrain is a 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine, producing 160-hp that is mated to a five-speed manual or optional five-speed automatic transmission. A 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 221-hp mated to a six-speed automatic transmission is also available with the front-wheel drive, and is standard on the all-wheel drive model. The Milan Premier comes equipped with 17-inch machined aluminum wheels, leather seating surfaces, and the premium six-disc CD changer with MP3 and six speakers. All trims are standard with anti-lock brakes, dual-front, side-impact and side-curtain airbags. For 2008, the Mercury Milan comes with more color choices and a keyless entry keypad.
