The Audi R8 is the company's first mid-engine super car. It is designed with extreme performance in mind and with other high end sports cars in its sights.
The R8 is loosely based off of the Lamborghini Gallardo platform. It is powered by a 420-hp 4.2-liter V-8 engine borrowed from the RS4, and a full-time all-wheel drive system puts that power to the ground. It is available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or an R-tronic automated sequential manual transmission that allows for manual or automatic gear selection. Standard features include things like satellite radio, Alcantara/leather sport seats, 19-inch alloy wheels, and bi-xenon headlights. Options include a rearview camera, hill hold assist, navigation system and a Bang & Olufsen audio system.
For 2009, the R8 is now standard with a 6-disc changer, Bluetooth, and HomeLink garage door opener.
Intelligence on the Upcoming Audi R8 Models For 2010, the new 5.2 V-10 is introduced, and full LED headlights are an option on the 4.2.
Resale Value for the 2009 Audi R8
When considering the purchase of a new vehicle, it's important to keep in mind what the eventual resale value will be. It is expected that the 2009 Audi R8 will have a good resale value. This assumes that after 3 to of 5 years of ownership the vehicle will be in good condition. Other factors include the optional equipment you choose and the total mileage on your vehicle.
