The Buick LaCrosse is a sophisticated mid-size sedan, seating up to six passengers in comfort while providing confident handling and a smooth ride.
The front-wheel drive LaCrosse is available in three trim levels: CX, CXL and Super. The CX and CXL are powered by a 200-hp 3.8-liter V6 engine, while the Super is equipped with a 300-hp 5.3-liter V8, including Active Fuel Management cylinder-deactivation technology for enhanced fuel economy. A four-speed automatic transmission is standard on all trims. The CX is equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, satellite radio and a power driver's seat; CXL trims add heated front seats and leather upholstery. The Super boasts exclusive features that include a sport-tuned suspension, 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lights and a rear spoiler. Standard safety features on every LaCrosse include 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, traction control and side-curtain airbags; Super trims add electronic stability control (optional on CX and CXL trims) and rear parking assist.
For 2009, the Buick LaCrosse gets minor standard equipment upgrades, including heated exterior mirrors, and the CXS trim is removed from the model lineup.
Intelligence on the Upcoming Buick LaCrosse Models The Buick LaCrosse is completely redesigned for 2010, with new direct gasoline injection V6 engines, a new six-speed automatic transmission with Driver Shift Control, fresh exterior and interior styling, and additional standard and optional equipment. Additionally, the CXS replaces the Super trim from the previous model year.
