Ford Taurus Overview

The front-wheel or all-wheel drive Taurus is powered by a 263-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine and six speed automatic transmission. Ford's industry exclusive new SYNC hands-free communications and entertainment system is included on Limited, optional on SEL. Standard safety features include electronic stability and traction control, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, seat-mounted side airbags for the front seats and Safety Canopy side-curtain airbags for both rows of seating.

For 2009, a new SE trim has been added to the line-up, AdvanceTrac® electronic stability control has been added as standard equipment to all trims, and SIRIUS satellite radio is now standard on the SEL and Limited trims.
