2009 Honda Fit Base
The 2009 Honda Fit Base is the basic option for this second generation design of the five door hatchback offered by the Japanese auto maker since 2001. The Honda Fit complements other models in the Honda line that are getting a lot of attention from American consumers.
The Honda Fit is powered by a 117 horsepower engine, with a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission standard. On the base model, the 2009 Fit gets an EPA estimated 27/33 miles per gallon (cty/hwy) with a manual transmission and 28/35 with an automatic. The Honda Fit 2009 has a ULEV-2 emissions rating from the California Air Resources Board (CARB).
Inside the Honda Fit base model, buyers can find air conditioning, power locks and windows, and Honda's MagicSeat storage system. For audio, drivers can take advantage of a 160-Watt AM/FM/CD Audio System (with 4 speakers on the base model and 6 in the Fit Sport). MP3 capability and Speed Sensitive Volume Control are standard. Blue backlit gauges and other style features add to the interior of the Honda Fit.
The Honda Fit base model rolls on 15" wheels, with all of the standard safety features buyers would expect for this model year, including Anti-lock brakes (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), and a tire pressure monitoring system. Dual-stage, dual-threshold front airbags and a high design body structure provide more in safety engineering.
Honda Fit models are available at local lots across the country for those who want to try this newer result of Honda engineering.
