Mercedes-Benz SLK300 Overview

The SLK300 is the entry-level offering with a 228-hp V6 mated to a six-speed manual or optional seven-speed automatic. An even sportier SLK350 boasts a 300-hp V6 teamed with a seven-speed automatic. The most powerful car in this class is the SLK55 AMG, sporting a 355-hp V8 and a standard seven-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Safety features on all SLK models include six airbags (front, side and knee), stability control, traction control, ABS with Brake Assist and Tele Aid emergency communication system.

For 2009, the SLK-Class has been given a mid-cycle styling refresh. The SLK280 has been renamed to SLK300 and the SLK350 receives 32 extra horsepower.
