The rear-wheel drive Cayman is powered by a larger 265-hp 2.9-liter flat six-cylinder engine, mated to a new six-speed manual transmission. New for 2009, Porsche's PDK seven-speed double-clutch gearbox, including manual shift mode and steering wheel paddles, replaces the former Tiptronic S transmission as an option. The Cayman is equipped with a power retractable spoiler, 17-inch alloy wheels, leather seat trim, air conditioning, cruise control and a new CDR-30 audio system with MP3-compatible CD player. Standard safety features include Porsche Stability Management (PSM), four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, front and side airbags and a tire pressure monitoring system. Available equipment includes Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), a roof-mounted transport system, power seats with driver memory control, and upgraded wheels and audio components. New options for 2009 include Bi-Xenon headlights with dynamic cornering lights and LED daytime driving lights, ventilated seats, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and a universal audio interface that can control external audio sources such as an iPod or USB stick.
The Porsche Cayman is revamped for 2009, entering its second generation with a more powerful engine, new transmissions and revised styling, including modified front and rear fascias, a new headlamp design and LED rear lights.

Resale Value for the 2009 Porsche Cayman
When considering the purchase of a new vehicle, it's important to keep in mind what the eventual resale value will be. It is expected that the 2009 Porsche Cayman will have a very good resale value. This assumes that after 3 to of 5 years of ownership the vehicle will be in good condition. Other factors include the optional equipment you choose and the total mileage on your vehicle.
