Volkswagen New Beetle Overview

The Volkswagen New Beetle is a front-wheel drive car based off of the MK4 generation Golf/Jetta platform. Four passengers can be seated in this unmistakably classic vehicle. It is powered by a 150-hp 2.5-liter inline-five cylinder that is mated to a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic with manual gear selection. Safety features include front and side-impact airbags, anti-lock brakes, tire pressure monitoring system, and daytime running lights.

For 2009, the Volkswagen New Beetle benefits from a Carefree Maintenance Program, standard equipment upgrades, and simplified trims. Also, the convertible is only available with a six-speed automatic transmission.
