BMW 550 Overview

The 550i is offered only as a rear-wheel drive sedan and is powered by a 360-hp 4.8-liter V8 engine. A six-speed manual is standard, while a six-speed automatic with or without paddle shifters is optional. Standard features include leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control with active micro-filtration, an AM/FM/CD stereo with 10 speakers, bi-xenon adaptive headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels and a rechargeable flashlight in the glovebox. Standard safety features include anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, six airbags and front and rear parking sensors; while more advanced safety features such as a lane-departure warning system and night vision are optional.

The 550i is unchanged for 2010.
