The RL is powered by a 300-hp 3.7-liter V6 engine, paired to a new six-speed automatic transmission with SportShift manual mode and paddle shifters. Acura's exclusive Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system enhances grip, stability and all-weather control, while an electric power assist steering system provides direct feedback. Every RL is outfitted with 18-inch alloy wheels, Xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights and a power moonroof; interior comforts include heated front seats, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, satellite radio, USB port and HandsFreeLink (Bluetooth) wireless connectivity and audio streaming. The available Technology package adds heated/ventilated front seats and an Active Front Lighting System (AFS), as well as a voice-activated navigation system with integrated rearview camera parking assist and real-time traffic and weather information. Standard safety features include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with traction control, front side-impact airbags, overhead curtain airbags, active front head restraints and a tire pressure monitoring system. The Acura RL gets several updates for 2011, including a revised front grille, new 15-spoke aluminum wheels and available rear parking sensors; a six-speed automatic transmission replaces the previous model year?s five-speed automatic. Additionally, a new Advance Package now includes power-folding exterior mirrors, along with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and a Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS).
