Audi A5 Overview

The A5 is available in three models: 2.0T quattro Coupe, 2.0T quattro Cabriolet and 2.0T FrontTrak Cabriolet. All models are powered by a 211-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with FSI direct fuel injection; transmission choices include a six-speed manual, a new eight-speed automatic with Tiptronic and available paddle shifters, and a Multitronic CVT. Every A5 is equipped with a standard Premium package that includes a power sunroof (Coupe only), 18-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, satellite radio and an auxiliary input jack. A Premium Plus package adds Xenon plus headlights, LED tail lamps, heated front seats, three-zone automatic climate control, universal garage door opener, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and an Audi Music Interface with iPod integration. All variants can be further outfitted with a Prestige package that boasts Advanced Key passive entry/start, voice-activated navigation, DVD player, HD radio and a Bang & Olufsen premium sound system. Standard safety features include six airbags, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, electronic stability and traction control systems, active anti-whiplash front head restraints and a tire pressure monitor. A backup camera with rear parking sensors is now found in the Prestige package, while the Audi Side Assist blind spot monitor and adaptive cruise control with active braking guard are optional.

For 2011, the Audi A5 carries over with minimal changes. An eight-speed automatic transmission replaces the previous model year's six-speed automatic, HD radio is added to the Prestige option group, and a new Titanium Sport Package with unique 19-inch alloy wheels is available on the 2.0T Coupe. Additionally, the A5 3.2 Coupe has been removed from the model lineup.
