Introduction
The smart fortwo electric drive is offered as either a coupe or cabriolet; both of which are powered by a 30kw motor and 15.5kWh lithium ion battery allowing it to drive approximately 84 miles on a single charge. Standard safety features include electronic stability program, anti-lock brakes, eight-airbags for the coupe, six-airbags for the cabriolet and tridion safety cell. The vibrant green tridion cell, exterior mirrors and interior features are sure to turn heads. The smart electric drive is all new for 2011 and will be offered in a limited run of 250 vehicles leased to various consumers, fleet operators and smart employees.
