Volvo S40 Overview

The Volvo S40 is a sporty front-wheel drive four-door sedan. The front-wheel drive T5 and T5 R-Design are powered by a 227-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-five engine matched with a five-speed automatic transmission. The transmission includes Geartronic, allowing driver selectable shifting. Safety features include Dynamic Stability Traction Control (DSTC), side-impact and side curtain airbags, and all-disc anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution. The S40 T5 includes Bluetooth, a High Performance Sound System with HD radio, and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. The R-Design package adds a sport suspension, power glass moonroof, and unique R-design style elements.

For 2011, the Volvo S40 is a carryover from 2010, with front-wheel drive, the T5 engine, and a five-speed automatic transmission.
