The TT RS was developed by quattro GmbH and is the first sports car in the RS family. The TT RS is powered by a 360-hp turbocharged direct-injection 2.5-liter five-cylinder with a six-speed manual as the only transmission choice. The all-wheel drive quattro system transfers the power through unique five-arm-rotor-design 19-inch wheels and summer performance tires. Four piston brake calipers and 14.6-inch discs up front provide the braking to offset the extra power. To differentiate its looks, the TT RS includes unique front and rear fascias, carbon fiber engine cover, aluminum door sill inserts as well as a large wing spoiler for increased downforce. Safety features include front, side and knee airbags, tire pressure monitoring, four-wheel anti-lock brakes and stability control. The TT RS is new to the TT family for 2012 thanks to a 'bring it to the U.S.' facebook survey.
