The Fisker Karma's Q-Drive system includes dual 150 kW electric traction motors mounted to a differential between the rear wheels that deliver a combined 403 hp (300kW) and a peak torque rating of 981 lb-ft at zero rpm; a 20kWh lithium-ion battery; and a 260-horsepower turbocharged direct-injected 2.0-liter gasoline range extender that generates electricity. The battery can be charged with a standard household 120-volt outlet in about 14 hours, or in about six hours with a 240-volt outlet (similar to a clothes dryer outlet). A glass solar roof panel converts radiated power from the sun into stored electrical energy, effectively increasing the electric range of the Karma. The available EcoSport package includes a navigation system, backup camera and premium leather from 100-percent sustainable processing plan. The EcoChic package features a navigation system, backup camera, corn fiber based floor mats, 100-percent recycled post-industry polyester Eco-Suede, and rescued wood trim retrieved from the 2007 firestorm in Orange County, California.
