The Audi Q5 is a crossover SUV - smaller than an SUV, taller than a station wagon, not as dowdy as a minivan. Based on Audi's A4 sedan, it handles more like a car than an SUV, but sits higher and boasts a larger cabin than a mid-size sedan. The Q5 inherits the A4?s sleek looks - in fact, Audi markets it as "a sport sedan with a backpack." With a blend of performance and comfort, and plenty of options packages if you want to upgrade, the Q5 is practical for families who don't want to settle for a boxy minivan.
Introduction
There are two engines available in the Q5: a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine that makes 211 hp, and a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 rated at 272 hp (there’s also a hybrid version of the inline four). Both engines are mated to Audi’s eight-speed Tiptronic quattro all-wheel drive automatic transmission. The Q5 seats five with ample cabin space, among the largest in its class, and it’s capable of towing up to 4,400 lbs.

2013 Audi Q5 2.0T Premium

This trim's lines come with the inline turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which gets 20 mpg in city driving, 28 mpg on the highway. The Premium trim is the most basic Q5. The optional Convenience Package adds the Audi music interface with iPod integration, Bluetooth technology and a garage door opener. The Lighting Package adds xenon plus headlights with automatic leveling. The Premium Plus trim comes with both the Convenience and Lighting packages, as well as a sunroof that’s optional on the Premium. Optional packages available for the Premium Plus include the Audi Navigation Plus Package, with a color driver info system, voice-controlled navigation, HD radio, SiriusXM Traffic with a four-year subscription, parking assist system with rear-view camera, and a six-month trial subscription to Audi connect online services. The Sport Interior Package offers a three-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters and wrap-around sport seats with 12-way power and four-way lumbar support.
2013 Audi Q5 3.0T Premium Plus
Recommended for: People who want added performance and access to high-end options packages
This trim comes with the supercharged V6. Fuel economy numbers were not available for this engine. These trims also feature the S Line exterior appearance, 19” wheels, and an automatic stop/start efficiency system. The 3.0 Premium Plus comes with the Convenience and Lighting packages, and both the Navigation Plus and Sport Interior packages are optional. This trim also has access to the S Line package, and is the only trim with that package available. S Line is a performance package that offers a three-spoke multifunction paddle shifter steering wheel, brushed aluminum interior inlays, selectable driving modes, electronic damping control and 20” wheels. The Sport Interior package is required if you want the S Line package. The 3.0T Prestige trim comes standard with all the features in the Convenience, Lighting, and Navigation Plus packages. The Sport Interior Package is optional. Additional packages available for the Prestige trim are the Comfort Package (Nappa leather panels and arm rests, Milano leather seats, 12-way power ventilated front seats) and the Driver Assist Package (dynamic steering, adaptive cruise control, drive select). The Q5 hybrid trim is identical to the Prestige, except for the four-cylinder hybrid engine and no Driver Assist Package.
