Since the Ford Flex hit the pavement in 2008, it has been continuously improving its design, providing excess space and eliminating stress for its drivers. It achieves this by offering intelligent options like Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert (BLIS). With BLIS, drivers can be sure to maintain a safe distance while driving in traffic. One feature of BLIS is it that it can sense a vehicle that is moving at least 5 MPH within a 45-foot range. The Flex's 2013 model year is Ford?s best attempt yet at refreshing itself and one-upping its predecessors with more space and options than ever in its history.

Introduction

The Flex has continued to wow its owners with over 80 cubic feet of space to either pack up and move or stretch out and enjoy the ride. It is not only the first vehicle offered by Ford to deliver both minivan and SUV qualities, but also has more second and third-row leg room than any other vehicle in its class. Flex boasts a spacious three rows of seats that comfortably fit up to seven passengers, while still providing 20 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row. Second and third-row seats fold flat into the floor, creating a total of 83.2 cubic feet of storage space for your cargo needs.

With all power Amenities for this spacious SUV crossover, the Flex boasts the luxurious multi-panel Vista Roof, first-row heated and cooled seats, hands-free Sync with MyFord Touch (standard on all trims), side-view mirrors with security approach lamps, supporting voice calling that is hands free and an option for an interior refrigerator and remote-start system. Finally, a vehicle that allows drivers to say goodbye to road rage and let the Flex remove hassles as you focus only on the drive.

The Ford Flex allows buyers to choose between two varieties of V6 engines. These engines are available in both AWD and FWD, the 3.5L Ti-VCT engine, producing 287 horsepower, that is coupled with the 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission and the direct-injected twin-turbocharged EcoBoost produces 365 horsepower. The Flex also offers a generous fuel economy up to 25 MPG highway. Somehow, Ford engineering has managed to create this engine with more power, while decreasing its fuel economy.

The Flex is available in three different trims (excluding Flex’s top-trim Titanium model); the SE, being the base model, the SEL and the Limited. All three models offer superior comfort and space for those long family trips with extra cushioning for an easy drive and lots of amenities.
