Control layout is user-friendly, and the dashboard has a large easy-to-use center screen. The Fit EV also features Honda's navigation system with a voice recognition system.
Like most production electric vehicles, the Fit EV won't impress anyone with its acceleration. However, it has more torque than you'd get in a gas-powered Fit, and a revised suspension that might give it a better ride. The Fit EV keeps up with traffic, even on the highway. And with three driving modes -- normal, sport and econ -- drivers can optimize performance or economy for any situation.
Unfortunately, Honda doesn't make it easy to get a Fit EV. Buyers must live in one of four metro areas (Portland, Oregon; or San Francisco, Sacramento or Los Angeles, California) and the Fit EV may only be leased -- not purchased.
