On the road, the 3.5-liter V6 is matched well with a continually-variable transmission. There aren't shifts, but rather smooth changes to power which is an upgrade over earlier models. It still gets good fuel economy, and matches up well with other minivans for acceleration, braking and safety features. It also handles well, yet still manages to eat up road imperfections without jostling the driver or passengers.
Of course, there are a number of strong candidates for minivan buyers. The Volkswagen Routan and Chrysler Town & Country share a chassis, and both offer a good chassis. However, the Routan is smaller, and the Town & Country does not ride as smoothly. The Toyota Sienna may feel a bit more cramped, although it has seating for eight passengers with a second row bech. The Honda Odyssey is a capable people carrier, but may not excite drivers.
The Nissan Quest also has a number of trim lines. Whether it's the S or the top of the line with the LE, a multitude of features could tick the boxes on a minivan buyer's list.
