What you must know before buying the BMW 228
, Automotive Editor -
  • Formerly the 1 Series
  • The 2015s haven't landed
  • 2014 models still around
  • Low APR and lease deals

Keep waiting for the 2015s:

The smallest Bimmer used to be the 1 Series. Not anymore. The name has ballooned to the 2 Series, but the car is still the entry-level offering in the BMW range. If you want a 2015 model, feel free to order one. However, don't expect to see it on your dealer's lot immediately. The new 2s haven't touched down...yet.

2014s are available:

However, you can still find 2014 versions of the 2 Series out there.

Low APR and leases:

BMW is offering promotional APR rates and leases for both model years. Should you buy a 2014 228i, you can take advantage of 3.13-percent APR financing for up to 72 months and $1,000 in Build-Out Cash. You can also get $1,000 in Build-Out Cash with the $309/month, 33-month lease of a 2014.
