CarsDirect Pricing Insider

What you must know before buying the Chevrolet Spark
, Automotive Editor -
  • Spark remains GM's most affordable model
  • Bargain price means no cash offers
  • Lease an electric model with $0 down
  • New 3.9% financing for 60 months

Always a bargain no matter when you buy:

Buyers are going for the Spark in a serious way, no doubt due to its low price and overall economy. Supplies of the 2015 model have improved over the past month, but the 2014s remain widely available. Dealer stock consists almost entirely of the base LS and mid-level 1LT models. Few buyers are interested in the line-topping 2LT, and you'll be hard pressed to find one sitting on a lot.

Do some comparison shopping:

The Spark is already GM's lowest-priced model, so there's no automatic factory cash allowance. However, you should be able to find discounts on leftover 2014s at individual dealers. Check with several in your area before you buy. Discounting of 2015s would be very unusual at this point the model year.

Good news for fans of electric power:

The electric version of the Spark, dubbed EV, can be yours on a lease for $189 for 39 months (and 10,000 miles a year) with $0 due at signing. We can't think of a more affordable route to an all-electric vehicle.

Low APR now available:

Chevrolet now offers 3.9% financing for 60 months on both model years. If you go with the EV, the rate drops to 2.9%.

Note: These offers are available in Southern California, but may vary where you live. Check your local incentives with a Trusted CarsDirect Dealer »
