The Ford F-150 continues to be America’s best-selling vehicle despite some hefty competition from the RAM and updated GM offerings. The F-150 offers something for (nearly) everyone. There's a rugged work truck you can hose down at the end of the day, an upscale ride for dinner at the country club, and everything in between. Ford is poised to unveil an all-new F-150 for the 2015 model year. Even with a new model on the horizon, the 2014 F-150 continues to dominate the truck marketplace.
What's New for 2014
Ford made only a few changes to the F-150 lineup for 2014. Look for a new FX model appearance package plus minor styling updates, more color choices and the addition of new options like HID headlights, available power-telescoping and power folding trailer-tow side view mirrors.
Ford also adds a Tremor to the line-up. This all-new truck couples the style of the FX Appearance Package with an Eco Boost engine and a launch-optimized 4.10 rear axle – the shortest final drive ratio offered in an EcoBoost F-150 delivers swift acceleration.
Choosing Your Ford F-150
Although the configurations seem infinite, it's relatively easy to zero in on the right model, cab size, bed length and engine for your needs. Except for the 4x4-only SVT Raptor, all have standard rear-wheel drive and optional four-wheel drive.
