The 2014 Ford Focus is sold all over the world using a global platform. Earlier in 2013, it surpassed the Toyota Corolla as the world’s bestselling vehicle. The Focus blends sportiness, comfort, decent driving dynamics and available luxury features in an affordable package. With its "Kinetic Design" philosophy, Ford has created a nice-looking, athletic design with a touch of premium essence.
What's New for 2014
In response to customer demand, there's a new Sport Appearance Package for the Focus SE. Also, due to some buyers converting from European cars, a manual gearbox is now offered in the luxury-laden Titanium model.
Choosing Your Ford Focus
The Focus is available as a four-door sedan or five-door hatchback with front-wheel drive only. The standard engine is a 2-liter four-cylinder that's capable of hybrid-like fuel economy: up to 40 mpg. Transmission offerings include a five-speed manual and two versions of Ford’s six-speed automatic.
The trim level you choose not only determines standard features, but also which options you can have.
If you haven't driven an American small car for a while, check out the Focus. The style, packaging and driving dynamics will impress. While an SE with a few options will please most buyers with its balance of performance, features and value, we have a soft spot for the understated luxury of the Titanium.
