What you must know before buying the Honda Accord Hybrid
, Automotive Editor -
  • The Accord Hybrid is a slower seller with limited availability
  • Strong dealer programs have helped improve prices
  • 2015 models are readily available, but 2014s are tough to find
  • Lease for as little as $259 per month or $0 down

Slower seller with limited availability:

The Accord Hybrid remains a bit of a novelty, since it only debuted in 2014 and only certain dealers keep them in stock.

Strong dealer programs have helped improve prices:

Honda is really trying to push its Accord Hybrid, and the 2015 models are its main focus. The increased manufacturer-to-dealer incentives offered on these hybrids drive home Honda's desire to move stock. Manufacturer-to-dealer incentives on the 2014 Accord Hybrid are no longer available.

2015 models are readily available, but 2014s are tough to find:

The 2015 models are rolling into dealers in relatively solid numbers, but the 2014 model is just about sold out.

Lease for as little as $259 per month or $0 down:

The 2015 Accord Hybrid starts out with a 36-month lease that requires $2,399 at signing and monthly payments of $259. Buyers can also opt for paying no money at signing and shelling out $320 per month. If buying is more your style, you can get the APR as low as 0.9 percent on a 36-month lease on the 2015 Accord Hybrid. Extended the terms to 48 or 60 months increases the base APR to 1.9 percent.

For buyers who want to go extra green, Honda is offering the 2014 Accord Plug-In on a 36-month lease that requires $3,299 at signing and monthly payments of $399. The Accord Plug-In has no special APR, but you may qualify for up to a $3,626 tax credit and California residents can get a rebate of up to $1,500.

Note: These offers are available in Southern California, but may vary where you live. Build and price this car »
