What you must know before buying the Honda CR-Z
, Automotive Editor -
  • Niche CR-Z isn't a hot-seller
  • Stocked in very low numbers and 2015s are rolling in
  • Honda stripped the manufacturer-to-dealer incentives from the 2014 model
  • Still no APR or lease deals

Niche model that isn't a hot-seller:

The CR-Z continues its trend as a slow seller, so dealers are wary of ordering any. This leads to limited on-hand stock and difficulty shopping between dealers to get the best price. This limited stock also means that Honda still has no interest in offering special financing or leases to move stock.

Stocked in very low numbers and 2015s are rolling in:

Due to its limited customer base, Dealers do not keep many examples on hand. The 2015 models are starting to find dealers, so this may help you get a great deal on a 2014 model. Dealer stock is about split down the middle with 2014 and 2015 models.

Honda stripped the manufacturer-to-dealer incentives from the 2014 model:

Honda was generous and offered manufacturer-to-dealer incentives for a short period of time on the 2014 CR-Z. Unfortunately, Honda chose to discontinue that offer as we head into 2015.

Still no APR or lease deals:

Despite its slow sales, Honda still isn't offering any APR or lease deals on the CR-Z.

Note: These offers are available in Southern California, but may vary where you live. Check your local incentives with a Trusted CarsDirect Dealer »
