What you must know before buying the Honda Odyssey
, Automotive Editor -
  • Pricing remains unchanged
  • LX and EX models plentiful, so expect better deals
  • Special APR available
  • Touring and Touring Elite models are in shorter supply

Abundant supply means deeper discounts:

On a whole, the Odyssey sells well and is well-stocked on dealer lots. The LX and EX trim levels of the 2014 Odyssey are in particularly good supply because of demand. Expect to see deeper discounts through manufacturer-to-dealer incentives on these trims at the dealership level.

Higher trim levels in shorter supply:

The better-equipped Touring and Touring Elite models continue to lag behind in sales. so they are in shorter supply, these model command a higher asking price and fewer discounts than the LX and EX models.

Low APR available and low-cost leases:

High demand and supply has lead Honda Financial Services to extend its 0.9-percent APR offer on the Odyssey with 24- through 36-month financing., For buyers that need more time to pay off their loan, HFS also offers 1.9-percent APR on 37- through 60-month financing. New to the Odyssey are two lease deals. The first lease deal requires $2,499 at signing and 36 monthly payments of $269. The most enticing deal requires no money at signing and 35 monthly payments of $330.

Discounts for military and graduates:

Honda Financial Services continues to recognize military members and graduates by offering $500 toward a 2014 Odyssey for recent or soon-to-be college graduates and active and retired U.S. Military and Coast Guard members and their spouses.
