What you must know before buying the Honda Ridgeline
, Automotive Editor -
  • No changes as the Ridgeline prepares for temporary elimination
  • Prices remain unchanged
  • Limited stock on dealer lots
  • Honda continues to exclude the slow-selling truck from lease and financing deals

No changes as it prepares for temporary elimination:

The Ridgeline is a very slow-selling niche vehicle, so inventory has never been its strong point. Now with its production officially ended, things are even scarcer. Look for dealers trying to clear old inventory before the all-new Ridgeline debuts sometime in 2015. There's still no word on when the next-generation Ridgeline will arrive.

Prices remain unchanged:

There is no arguing that the Ridgeline is not the most in-demand pickup truck on the market, and this low demand results in Honda holding steady on its pricing and deals. This means no new lease offers or financing deals are on the horizon.

Limited stock on dealer lots:

As the Ridgeline carries through its final year, the stock is starting to dwindle down. Now is the time to pick one up if you have been thinking about buying a Ridgeline.

Honda continues to exclude the slow-selling Ridgeline from lease and financing deals:

As typical, the Ridgeline has no low-APR or lease deals to speak of. It is also left out in the cold in terms of manufacturer-to-dealer incentives. You may get lucky and find a dealer looking to clear excessive inventory by giving great deals.
