Choosing Your Hyundai Genesis Coupe

The main choice buyers make is between engines, both of which offer the choice of a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission:

  • The 2-liter four-cylinder engine puts out an impressive 274 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. EPA ratings are 21 mpg city and 30 mpg highway with the manual transmission and 20 mpg city and 31 mpg highway with the automatic.
  • The optional 3.8-liter V6 now puts out 348 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. It achieves 18 mpg city and 27 mpg in manual form and 18 mpg city and 28 mpg highway with the automatic.

The base Coupe features the automatic transmission, 18-inch alloy wheels, push-button start, satellite radio, cloth seats and automatic climate control.

2.0T R-Spec

The R-Spec adds the manual transmission, 19-inch alloy wheels, a track-tuned suspension, Brembo brakes and seat bolsters.

2.0T Premium

In Premium trim, the Coupe drops back down to 18-inch wheels, but gains an automatic transmission, navigation, the Blue Link telematics system, an Infinity sound system and a sunroof.

3.8L R-Spec

The base 3.8L model is off to a good start with the 348-horsepower V6 and the same equipment found on the 2.0T R-Spec.

3.8L Grand Touring

Look for an automatic transmission, 18-inch wheels, rear parking assistance, navigation, leather upholstery and heated front seats.

3.8L Ultimate

Available with the manual or automatic transmission, the Ultimate blends R-Spec performance enhancements with Grand Touring luxury.
