When choosing an IPL Q60 there are only two choices to make: coupe or convertible and manual or automatic transmission.
There are no options—everything else is standard.
The IPL's unique exterior includes dramatic front and rear fascia design with integrated fog lights and black accents, sculpted side sills, a rear spoiler and round chrome exhaust tips. Each part is shaped to complement aggressively seductive styling. Combined with exclusive 19-inch graphite-finish wheels and low-profile performance tires, the IPL projects a confident stance and road-ready attitude.
Inside the 12-way power driver and 8-way passenger seats feature two-way adjustable head restraints and a unique rear-seat access system. The hand-stiched leather-covered steering wheel is designed for maximum comfort and usability, with standard wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls. Solid magnesium paddle shifters are standard with the seven-speed automatic transmission. Other standard features include Infiniti Voice Recognition for audio navigation, and a memory system for the driver's seat, steering wheel and outside mirrors.
Technological and convenience features include push-button start, automatic climate control, a satellite radio and an 11-speaker Infiniti "Studio on Wheels" by Bose stereo.
IPLs generate 348 horsepower—an increase of 18 horsepower over non-IPL models—and 276 pound-feet of torque, an increase of 6 pound-feet. Depending on transmission and body type, fuel consumption varies from 17 mpg city to 27 mpg highway.
Although we're suckers for a convertible, the extra cost may not merit the upgrade. We'd probably opt for the coupe.
