What you must know before buying the Mercedes-Benz GLK250 BlueTEC

  • 2014 GLK250 BlueTECs are nearly sold out; 2015s coming in
  • New model with still-exotic diesel technology
  • Falling gas prices at the end of 2014 aren't helping sell this fuel-efficient diesel
  • Still no lease but 1.99-percent APR is available

2014 units are nearly sold out; 2015s coming in:

2014 GLK250 BlueTECs are getting short on stock, but the 2015s are hitting dealers now. There may be some good deals on leftover 2014 stock.

New model with still-exotic diesel technology:

The GLK250 BlueTEC was the first diesel-powered, midsize, luxury SUV in the market. This technology is still in its infancy in the U.S., as we get used to the concept of diesel-powered vehicles not driving like a school bus.

Falling gas prices at the end of 2014 aren't helping sell this fuel-efficient diesel:

Diesel technology seems to sell poorly in the U.S., and falling gasoline prices in late 2014 aren't helping sell this more fuel-efficient diesel SUV. This is leading to dealers keeping fewer and fewer in stock.

Still no lease but 1.99-percent APR is available:

With diesel technology still relatively unimportant to American buyers, Mercedes is not offering great lease deals on the GLK250 BlueTEC. You can, however, get 1.99-percent APR on 2014 and 2015 models on a 24- to 72-month loan with approved credit.
