CarsDirect Pricing Insider

What you must know before buying the MINI Coupe
Kimberly Smith, Automotive Editor -
  • 2014 models are priced below MSRP
  • Special financing and lease offers are available
  • Multiple incentives can be stacked for extra savings
  • Very limited in-stock selection

Deals on 2014s:

While the new 2015s are selling at MSRP, sale prices can generally be found on 2014 models. Demand has been low for this model, so there may be further room to negotiate if you can find one in stock.

It pays to lease:

Special financing is available for as low as 0.9% APR on 2014 models or 2.9% on 2015 models. For those who prefer to lease, a $450 Dealer Contribution Credit is available to offset MSRP on 2014 Coupe and S Coupe models.

Stack up the savings:

“MINI You-ification” credits for extra options and accessories are available on 2014 models ($500 for standard Coupe models, or $750 for S Coupe and John Cooper Works Coupe models). MINI is also offering loyalty bonuses for current owners and special incentives for upcoming or recent college grads who finance through MINI Financial Services, USAA families, and DriversEd.com graduates.

Hard to find:

These models are generally stocked in very low numbers on dealer lots, and the base Cooper model is nearly impossible to find. Test driving may not be an option, and there’s a good chance you’ll have to place a factory order to get the one you want.
