CarsDirect Pricing Insider

What you must know before buying the MINI Roadster
Kimberly Smith, Automotive Editor -
  • 2015 models are selling at MSRP; 2014 models are on sale
  • Low APR financing and promotional lease offers are available
  • Multiple incentives can be stacked for extra savings
  • Very limited in-stock selection

Better pricing on 2014s:

While the new 2015s are selling at MSRP, modest discounts can generally be found on 2014 models. The best savings are on Cooper S and John Cooper Works models.

It pays to lease:

Special financing is available for as low as 0.9% APR on 2014 models or 2.9% on 2015 models. For those who prefer to lease, a Dealer Contribution Credit is available to offset MSRP on 2014 and 2015 Cooper and Cooper S models.

Stack up the savings:

“MINI You-ification” credits for extra options and accessories are available on 2014 models ($500 for Cooper and Cooper S models or $750 for the John Cooper Works model). In addition, a $500 bonus credit is available for current owners and DriversEd.com graduates who purchase or lease a new 2014 or 2015 model through MINI Financial Services. Upcoming or recent college grads can also receive a $500 credit on a new 2013 or 2014 when that vehicle is financed through MINI Financial Services. Eligible USAA members, on the other hand, can receive up to $1,000 off a new 2013 or 2014 model with proper documentation – no new contract required. Certain offers may be combined.

Ordering is standard:

Very few, if any, of these are stocked on dealer lots, and those that are tend to be 2014 models. Don’t be surprised if you have to place a factory order to get what you want, especially if your eye is on a new 2015.
