The Frontier is Nissan’s entry in the midsize pickup truck category. Two cabs are offered—king cab and crew cab—and there are also two engines to choose from: a 152-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder and a 261-horsepower 4-liter V6.
What's New for 2014
A new audio system, navigation and wheel options are available on the crew cab models. The S gains standard features including Bluetooth, cruise control and air conditioning. The PRO 4 now features standard heated cloth seats.
Choosing Your Nissan Frontier
The Frontier is available in five trims — Frontier S, Frontier SV, the PRO-4X, the Desert Runner and the SL. King cabs come with four- or six-cylinder engines, while all crew cabs make exclusive use of the V6.
Buyers can augment austere standard features with packages like:
- Preferred: Bluetooth, front map lights, air conditioning, cruise control, sunglass storage console and an AM/FM/CD audio system.
- Value Truck: A trailer hitch, dual-zone climate control, and a bed extender.
- Pro-4 Luxury: Embroidered leather seats, an 8-way power driver’s seat, a moonroof, heated outside mirrors, Nissan Connect, a roof rack, Sirius Travel link, hands-free text messaging and a 4-way adjustable passenger seat.
