Since its debut more than 10 years ago, the Nissan Murano has offered trendsetting looks and features that others are just beginning to implement. The 2014 Murano continues to avoid the block-like SUV styling in favor of a rounded, futuristic design.
As it has from the start, this five-passenger carryall uses a continuously variable transmission (CVT), a setup that tends to deliver better fuel economy than traditional automatics. Available with front or all-wheel drive, the Nissan Murano has a strong V6 engine and a driver-oriented suspension that help set it apart from competitors.
What's New for 2014
The Murano lineup is basically unchanged for 2014—models finished in a bronze exterior color offer a new black interior option.
Choosing Your Nissan Murano
The Murano is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that makes an ample 260 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque. Its EPA ratings are 18 mpg city/24 mpg highway with front-wheel drive and 18 mpg city/ 23 mpg highway with all-wheel drive.
Depending on your budget, there is a Murano for everyone—but we recommend going for value with the midrange SV model.
