When Toyota introduced the Scion brand to America, the quirky xB wagon stood out for its unconventional looks. Although the infinitely customizable vehicle was intended for younger drivers, the practicality of vast interior space in its boxy lines made it a favorite with older buyers, too.

Choosing Your Scion xB
Scion keeps things simple by offering the XB in a single trim level. It's powered by a 2.4-liter inline-four that produces 158 horsepower and earns 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway. Buyers are able to choose between a five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmission.
Scion sticks to the basics with standard features like air conditioning, power windows and door locks, cruise control, and a height-adjustable driver's seat.
Options are few, and include upgrades like 19-inch wheels, performance brakes, a sport muffler, and lowered springs. A premium audio system and a rear entertainment system is also available.
Things get interesting, though, with the array of dealer-installed and aftermarket accessories encouraged by Scion.
If the xB appeals to you, dive in and make it your own with customized touches. You'll have a versatile and stylish vehicle with strong resale value.
