The 2015 Audi A5 is ready for its sophomore season, busting at the seams with more style and technology than the current 2014 model. The second generation A5 will be based on Audi’s highly-touted MLB Evo platform, which can only be currently found on the Q7 and the Porsche Macan.
The new A5 will be offered as both a coupe and convertible while carrying the legendary S and RS model name prefix (S5 and RS5). Look for horsepower and torque to jump significantly: A5: 250 horsepower, S5: 350 horsepower, RS5: 490 horsepower. Amazingly, fuel economy should also inch upward.
In terms of pricing, the new A5 will carry a base MSRP of around $40k to start, while the S5 and RS5 will be priced at $54k and $73k, respectively. Look for the trio of models to be available in the middle of 2014.
