What's New For 2015
A leather dashboard cover and full LED headlamps are now standard.
Choosing Your BMW 750
Every 750 gets a 4.4-liter turbocharged V8 engine with 445 horsepower matched to an eight-speed automatic with selectable performance modes. From there, you have a choice of rear- or all-wheel drive (known as xDrive) and the standard or extended wheelbase. The stretched model, which carries the suffix Li, offers a larger rear compartment with additional comfort features. Both models can get an upgraded adaptive suspension and four-wheel steering as standalone options.
Because the 750 competes in highest luxury class, you can expect an avalanche of standard equipment. Such features include a premium leather interior with multicontour heated front seat and driver memory, power soft-close doors, a hands-free power trunk lid, voice controls, a navigation system, a slew of integrated smartphone apps and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround-sound system. You also get a rearview camera and front and rear parking sensors. The 750 rides on 19-inch alloy wheels.
For an extra measure of luxury, the Executive package provides extended leather interior trim, ventilated front seats, a head-up display, power rear sunshades and ceramic-finish controls. Li models can also get a Luxury Rear Seat package with ventilated and massaging rear seats with power adjustments. Massaging front seats are available on any model as an individual option. A range of upgraded interior finishes and materials are available with the Individual Composition package.
For a sportier feel, the M Sport package adds specific 19- or 20-inch wheels, more aggressive styling throughout and a higher top speed limiter. The Cold Weather package furnishes heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel and ski bag. Finally, the Driver Assistance Plus package gets you blind spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, a driver alertness monitor, surround-view cameras, adaptive cruise control and a frontal collision mitigation system.
The most useful addition to the 750 is the Driver Assistance Plus package, which piles on some pretty advanced safety technology for a reasonable fee. Everything else is a matter of personal taste and whether you want to push the 750 in the direction of luxury or sport.
