The Fiat 500e represents the most efficient version of the brand's popular small hatchback -- because it doesn't use any gas at all. It's a more stylish alternative to other EVs on the market, too.
Its pure electric motor would grant the 500e niche status all on its own; availability in only two states further enhances its elusiveness for most of the buying public.
What's New for 2015
For 2015, the 500e is now available in Oregon, as well as California. However, it remains unavailable in the other 48 states. Like other 500 models, there is a redesigned center console for 2015 with new cupholders and a relocated USB port. Bluetooth streaming is now standard, along with the existing phone connectivity. New available colors include two light blue hues: Luce and Celeste.
Choosing Your Fiat 500e
The 500e comes in one trim level. Standard features include an aerodynamic body kit, automatic climate control system, heated front seats, multi-function instrument panel display with power range, energy meter and energy usage figures, trip computer, USB port with iPod control, Bluetooth, satellite radio, 276-watt six-speaker audio system, TomTom Navigation system with Fiat Telematics and 15-inch alloy wheels. Options include the eSport Package, black headlight accents, black wheels and white mirror caps. A power sunroof is also available.
With few options available, the 500e is well-equipped as is. Check for the latest incentives, as Fiat has been generous with them so far.
