The Scion iQ is still the smallest way you can legally transport four humans -- in a pinch. But its clever packaging makes it perfect for those who live in areas where parking is at a premium and maneuverability is paramount. On top of that, it offers strong city fuel economy.
What's New for 2015
Aside from shuffled paint colors, there are no changes to the iQ for 2015.
Choosing your Scion iQ
There's only one engine, one transmission and one trim level for the Scion iQ, and it comes comprehensively equipped for a small car. It gets a 1.3-liter four-cylinder with 94 horsepower and a CVT transmission, good for 36 mpg city, 37 mpg highway.
The Scion iQ comes equipped in one Base trim level. But it includes features such as power amenities, turn signal indicators in the side mirrors and a six-speaker display audio system with Bluetooth hands free, USB input, HD radio and steering wheel audio controls.
The only factory option is the $395 Blizzard Pearl paint. Scion does offer an extensive array of dealer-installed accessories, so there are still plenty of ways to personalize your iQ. Worthwhile might be the optional navigation system or the 16-inch alloy wheels. Other pieces available from the Scion dealer include a TRD spring and sway bar kit, and fog lights.
If you like the iQ, you like the iQ. Go easy on the accessories, but also look out for deals as Scion tries to get this slow-seller to compete better with the other microcar on the market, the Smart Fortwo.
