As Japan's answer to the Range Rover, it's a plush rig for up to eight people who happen to need to cross the most treacherous terrain out there. And the Land Cruiser is more than up to the challenge.

Choosing Your Toyota Land Cruiser
It comes one way: fully loaded. You do have a choice of seven colors, and Amazon Green Metallic is quite nice.
Land Cruiser: The Land Cruiser is offered in the U.S. as one very loaded trim level, priced at about $80,000. The only real option is the extra-cost Blizzard Pearl paint, at $395. But all Land Cruisers get a strong 5.7-liter V8 with 381 horsepower and a four-wheel drive system with a Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System and off-road tools like hill start assist. Inside, there are sumptuous leather seats and seating for eight, along with a 14-speaker JBL audio system and navigation.
Also included is the Entune suite of apps, which include Bing and Pandora integration among other useful tools for driving out in the middle of nowhere.
It's a viable alternative to a Range Rover, and only slightly less luxurious than its corporate twin, the Lexus LX570, which stickers for several thousands more thanks to the "L" on the hood.
