CarsDirect Pricing Insider

What you must know before buying the Volvo S60
, Automotive Editor -
  • 2015.5 S60 widely available; 2016s arriving
  • $1,250 factory rebate continues
  • Leases start at $289 for 36 months
  • Complimentary first payment

Stocked to meet demand:

Volvo's entry-level sedan has been selling briskly for many months now. In fact, the 2015 model is totally gone now. That's okay since the 2015.5 S60 (which carries some extra standard features) is in healthy supply, and dealers are already open to discounting.

You may also find some 2016 models on dealer lots, but don't expect as many discounts on those.

Factory cash still robust:

As before, every 2015 S60 comes with a $1,250 cash allowance. That's a healthy amount for any Volvo, especially an entry-level one.

New for July is a $1,500 conquest bonus on both the 2015.5 and 2016 models for owners of a competing vehicle. If you're an existing Volvo owner, you can choose a $1,000 loyalty incentive instead.

Attractive leases:

This month you can lease a 2015 S60 starting at $289 for 36 months (10,000 miles a year) with $3,177 due at signing. This is a $10 cut in payment versus last month. We consider that pretty aggressive given the model's popularity.

Leases on the 2016s start at $340 a month with all other terms the same.

Volvo Wonder of Summer event:

Your first payment is on the house whether you buy or lease—and there's no cash limit. You also get special five-year coverage on wear items like brake pads and wiper inserts. And, yes, that includes 2016 models.
