What you must know before buying the Volvo V60
Matt Harper, Automotive Editor -
  • V60 supplies improving; 2016s arriving
  • Factory cash up to $3,000
  • Lease from $319 for 39 months
  • Complimentary first payment

Strong demand:

The 2015 V60 wagon came out of the gate selling strongly and is now completely sold out. The 2015.5 model has been flowing into dealers for some time, but sustained sales have kept inventories thin. That said, we've seen some improvement in supplies over the past month.

You might find some fresh 2016 models on hand, but don't expect many deals on those.

Cash off the top:

Every 2015.5 V60 now comes with a $1,500 in factory rate, double what we typically see. The 2016 model gets a smaller bonus worth $750.

In addition, owners of competing makes get a $1,500 conquest bonus for converting to the brand, while current Volvo customers get a loyalty bonus of $1,000. These perks are available on both model years.

Leasing still attractive:

You can lease a 2015 V60 starting at $319 for 39 months (10,000 miles a year) with $3,139 due at signing. That's the same as last month, and still the best deal so far this year.

The 2016 model starts at $329 a month (all other terms the same), a whopping $49 drop in payment compared to the initial offer.

Shop around for the best rate:

Volvo isn't offering any APR specials at the moment, so don't assume that in-house financing is the way to go. You may find better deals at local lenders.

Volvo Wonder of Summer event:

Your first payment is on the house whether you buy or lease—and there's no cash limit. You also get special five-year coverage on wear items like brake pads and wiper inserts. This promotion applies to the 2016 model as well.

Note: These offers are available in Southern California, but may vary where you live. Check your local incentives with a Trusted CarsDirect Dealer »
