All-new for the 2013 model year, the compact Acura ILX has been the manufacturer's top-selling sedan since it went on sale in mid-2012. The ILX is also notable as Acura's first-ever model to offer a hybrid option. Although parent company Honda released its first hybrid in 1999, the Japanese automaker's luxury division hasn't entered the green market until now.
Acura sells the ILX as an entry-level luxury hybrid to buyers who are concerned about fuel economy and the environment. Unlike some upscale hybrids that don't deliver significant improvements in fuel efficiency, the ILX hybrid is good for a combined 38 mpg city and highway.
